Bio

With more than a decade of experience on the mic, Grand Agent got his start on the streets of Philly with the group Name in 1995. In the confines of the booth, or in front of packed room and even behind the boards, GA exudes a confidence obtained only through this degree of seasoning. His 2001 solo debut By Design (Groove Attack) is considered by many to be a cult classic. The 2003 follow up Fish Outta Water, released on his own Interworld Agency Media imprint , was produced and recorded in Germany where he spent two and a half years branding himself throughout Europe. Beat Society Master Thieves Vol 1: Fish Outta Water Remixes (Soulspazm/Interworld), a joint venture between Interworld and Soulspazm Records followed. The Fish Outta Water "series" is well on its way to surpassing By Design in sales and influence.

GA has toured extensively throughout Europe and America and has recorded and performed live with the likes of: Common, Pete Rock, Large Professor, Madlib, Kev Brown, King Britt, Hieroglyphics, Hi-Tek, Lord Finesse, Kut Masta Kurt, Chops, Camp Lo, Group Home, Tony Touch, KRS-ONE, Planet Asia and more. Furthermore, his music has been featured in the NBC television series Kingpin, MTV's Real World Philadelphia, a host of VH1 programs and the Brown Sugar motion picture.

The spring of 2005 saw the release of two highly anticipated and critically acclaimed EP's: Under The Circumstances (Soulspazm/Illmindmuzik), produced entirely by OHNO (Stones Throw) and Regular (Vibra) a bilingual rap adventure with top Italian Producer Donjoe at the controls as Agent trades verses with Club Dogo of Milan.

Currently, Grand Agent is promoting a revolutionary double EP release under the popular Rawkus 50 on-line campaign (Peak Oil/Agent & Raynge). Peak Oil deals with the current challenges in US and global economies based on our crude oil dependence. The second EP Agent & Raynge is much lighter with Agent trading verses and hooks with longtime collaborator Liv L'Raynge.

In February 2008 Grand Agent visited Poland to record new album titled "Adult Contemporary" (scheduled November 14th) produced entirely by polish rapper and producer O.S.T.R..

Fueled by the stellar production and musicraft of Poland's legendary OSTR, Grand Agent journeys through the many manias of contemporary American culture. Racism, consumer excess and idol worship of entertainers -namely Rappers- are all included. More importantly though, "Adult Contemporary" is the best Grand Agent's album to date and by far one of the best Rap albums in a very long time.
